£70k for Rider Injured in Country Lane
Mr B was riding down a narrow country lane when he was confronted by a Mini Cooper travelling in the opposite direction.
Mr B gestured for the driver of the mini to stop, but it carried on too close, causing his horse to spook. Mr B’s foot was stuck in the stirrup and he was dragged and trampled by his horse, causing significant injuries.
The Defendant’s insurers originally disputed liability in full, alleging that Mr B was at fault for the accident. Undeterred, and with HorseSolicitor’s expert assistance, Mr B continued with his claim, which settled by negotiation for £70,000.00.
